Tesla continue promoting their upcoming album \"Homage\" with a new rendition of Queen\u2019s classic \"Spread Your Wings\", following the recent release of \"I Love You (2026 Version)\"<\/h2>\n\n\n

Tesla<\/strong> have released their own version of \u201cSpread Your Wings\u201d <\/strong> by Queen<\/strong>, continuing the promotion cycle for their upcoming covers album \u201cHomage\u201d<\/strong>, due out on July 17, via Frontiers Music Srl<\/p>\n

The new single arrives alongside an official music video and follows the previous release of \u201cI Love You (2026 Version)\u201d<\/strong><\/a> (Climax Blues Band).<\/p>\n

Bassist and keyboardist Brian Wheat<\/strong> explained that \u201cSpread Your Wings\u201d<\/strong> was always one of the Queen<\/strong> songs he dreamed of recording, describing it as one of the band\u2019s most overlooked compositions. He also praised John Deacon<\/strong>, calling him Queen<\/strong>\"'s secret weapon.\"<\/p>\n

\u201cHomage\u201d<\/strong> serves as a musical thank-you to the songs and artists that shaped Tesla<\/strong> \u2019s sound during their formative years. More than four decades after beginning their journey as a cover band playing clubs across California, Tesla are returning to their roots with an album dedicated to timeless classics.<\/p>\n

The band emphasized that \u201cHomage\u201d<\/strong> is not about imitation, but recognition and gratitude toward the musicians who inspired them. Artists referenced among the album\u2019s influences include Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke <\/strong>and James Brown.<\/strong><\/p>\n
