The new single arrives alongside an official music video and follows the previous release of “I Love You (2026 Version)” (Climax Blues Band).
Bassist and keyboardist Brian Wheat explained that “Spread Your Wings” was always one of the Queen songs he dreamed of recording, describing it as one of the band’s most overlooked compositions. He also praised John Deacon, calling him Queen"'s secret weapon."
“Homage” serves as a musical thank-you to the songs and artists that shaped Tesla ’s sound during their formative years. More than four decades after beginning their journey as a cover band playing clubs across California, Tesla are returning to their roots with an album dedicated to timeless classics.
The band emphasized that “Homage” is not about imitation, but recognition and gratitude toward the musicians who inspired them. Artists referenced among the album’s influences include Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke and James Brown.
